Hello from Washington, D.C.
I cannot describe (and I’m a writer who describes things!) how happy I am to finally be out of the house—vacationing with my husband in Washington, D.C.
Today we’re on a glorious cruise down the Potomac River on the elegant Spirit of Washington. The food, entertainment, and weather are perfect! Yesterday we saw the National Museum. Good thing I prepared for all that walking! Tomorrow we take a different route through the city—overland on a bus. There’s a protest scheduled, so we’ll see how that goes. I’m so happy to be out of the house that even watching a protest (from a distance, of course) sounds interesting.
Let’s Have a Vacation Special!
To further celebrate finally getting out of the house, I’ve put Mystery Bones Murders on sale for 99 cents so my Book Buddies can get the best price Amazon offers to start the Frankie Shep series at the beginning! Here’s a little excerpt:
A growl jolted her attention from the bone to the bared teeth of a gray wolf…the rifle lay six feet away. She hopped over the log and took a fighting stance. The predator stepped closer. Saliva dripped from its huge teeth.

And to celebrate a long-awaited vacation even more, I joined with a few authors to offer books you can read for FREE on Kindle Unlimited! One group is offering their nail-biting reads together, and a single author is offering a 90-minute read about a kidnapped prince in a Mediterranean country, another about a murder on a train, and the other is a debut about a woman chasing down clues to solve her mother’s murder.
